You could either use the built in maps and navigation that’s listed on featured locations or you could use the Navigate with Google Maps button that will open navigation in Google Maps.
It is recommended to use the Google Maps function as the navigation will be a lot easier.

Download a map to use offline in Google Maps
On your phone open the Google Maps app Maps.
If you don’t have the app, download it from Google Play.
Make sure you’re connected to the internet and signed in to Google Maps.
Tap your profile picture or initial Account Circle and then Offline maps.
Tap Select your own map.
Adjust the map according to the area you want to download.
Tap Download.
Tip: You can save maps on your device or an SD card. If you change the way you save maps, you have to download the map again.
